Carbondale, Ill. - Southern Illinois (0-11) will open Missouri Valley Conference play at home tomorrow when it hosts Evansville in a 4 p.m., match at University Courts.
SIU enters tomorrow's matchup still searching for its first win of the season after falling in their first 11 bouts. The Salukis, who have been plagued by injuries, have played the entire spring with just four players.
Senior Erika Ochoa and sophomore Alejandra Blanco lead the Dawgs this spring with five singles wins apiece. Ochoa is 5-6 at the No. 1 position, while Blanco also boasts a 5-6 mark at the No. 2 spot.
SIU and UE were originally scheduled to play last Friday, but rain caused the match to be rescheduled.
