Dozortseva named Scholar-Athlete of the week

Dozortseva was named the Elite 18 winner for the second consecutive year at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships this past weekend. Dozortseva helped lead the Salukis to a runner up finish at the championships for the second year in a row. The Saluki senior finished the season with a 13-9 singles record and a 16-7 record in doubles play. Dozortseva and doubles partner, Athena Chrysanthou, went a perfect 4-0 in MVC play.
To qualify for Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week laurels, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20, completed at least one academic year at a Valley institution and must be at least a sophomore in academic standing.
Redshirt freshmen and first-year junior college transfers are not eligible. In addition to the academic qualifications, student-athletes will be evaluated on their athletic performance for a one-week period.
