Decatur, Ill. - The women's tennis team lost its first dual match of the spring season Friday night to Western Michigan. Junior Jessica Knitter was the lone Saluki winner against Western Michigan, defeating Malena Remynse 6-4, 1-6, 12-10 at No. 3 singles.
The 1-5 loss gives the Salukis an 0-1 record going into today's contest with Northern Illinois. The team hopes to gain its first win, prior to tomorrow's matchup with Illinois-Chicago.
