MEMPHIS, TENN. - In the final day of the Memphis Invitational the Salukis fought hard but were able to notch a win on the day as the Salukis lost all six of their matches.
Junior Maria Blanco lost in her No. 1 singles consolation championship against Jenny Batty of Ball State (6-2, 6-1). Freshmen Amanda Taillefer also lost a close match at the No.2 singles spot as she was defeated by St. Louis's Amanda Hellberg (6-2, 7-6).
The Salukis will be back in action on Oct. 20-24 as they head to Minneapolis, Minn. to play in the ITA Regional Championships.
