Women's Tennis Falls To Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN. - The women's tennis team dropped their third match in a row as they were narrowly defeated 4-3 by the Lady Tigers of Memphis
Seniors Jessica Knitter and Tana Trapani were the only Salukis able to post victories in singles play as Knitter defeated Andrea Feichtinger (7-6, 7-5) at the No. 3 spot while Trapani defeated Kristin Noble at the No. 4 spot.
The Salukis notched two wins in doubles play as senior Alejandra Blanco teamed up with Trapani to defeat Feichtinger and Tjioe 8-3 at the No. 2 doubles spot. Following the seniors lead sophomores Zoya Honarmand and Zuzana Palovic knocked off MU's Noble and Christina (8-3) at the No. 3 doubles spot.
After dropping three matches this weekend at Memphis the Salukis fall to 5-6 on the year. The Salukis look to get back on the winning track as they are next scheduled to host Southeast Missouri State in the home opener of the season.
