Women's Tennis To Finish Out Regular Season at Home

CARBONDALE, Ill. - After picking up an impressive 6-1 win over Wichita State in their last match, the women's tennis team looks to keep their confidence high as they will end their regular season play with three home Missouri Valley Conference matches this weekend.
The Salukis come into this weekend with an 8-9 (2-2 MVC) record and hopes to end the season abovethe .500 mark. The Salukis will have thier work cut out for them as they are scheduled to take on three solid MVC teams this weekend.
SIU will begin the weekend as they will face the Drake Bulldogs on Friday, April 16. Drake comes into Carbondale with a 6-12 (4-3 MVC) on the year and is lead by Annali de Bruyn at the No. 1 singles spot. The Dawgs will then square off agaisnt the Panthers of Northern Iowa on Saturday, April 17 and will wrap up the weekend with a match agaisnt Creighton, who is 9-8 (3-3 MVC), on Sunday.
All three matches will be played at the SIU Arena Tennis Courts with Friday's match set to begin at 3:00 pm and both Saturday and Sunday's matches to start at 10:00 am. All results for this weekend's matches can be found at www.SIUSalukis.com
