ST. Madeira, a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earned MVC Swimmer of the Week honors after participating in her first collegiate event. She won the 100 and 200 Free at the weekend meet with Evansville, while also swimming on the winning 200 Free Relay team.
Madeira's time of 52.50 in the 100 Free and 1:53.05 in the 200 Free are tops in their respective categories on the MVC Best List.
Leong, also participating in her first event as a Saluki, earns MVC Diver of the Week following her performance in the 3-Meter Dive at the dual meet with Evansville.
