Kristina Therriault and Ed Thompson Receive Promotions in Saluki Athletics

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illiinois University athletics department announced Monday that Kristina Therriault and Ed Thompson have both been promoted to the position of assistant athletics director.
Therriault, a 1995 graduate of Central Michigan University, has worked at SIU since 1995 and has served as coordinator of student services since 2001. She will continue to oversee student services as the department makes its transition to the new Troutt-Wittmann Academic and Training Center next fall.
Thompson is a 16-year veteran of the Saluki athletics department. He graduated from SIU in 1979 and has worked his way up from assistant trainer to head trainer. In addition to his training responsibilities, Thompson will oversee the strength and conditioning program.
"This upgrade reflects our appreciation for Ed and Kristina's dedication and work for Saluki Athletics," Associate Athletics Director Kathy Jones said. "It helps demonstrate the value we place on student-athlete welfare and academics."
