Entry Deadline: Team entry sheets are due by Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. Entries must be faxed, e-mailed (Hy-Tek) and/or mailed by 11:59 a.m. CST.
About the Facility:
The Student Recreation Center's Dr. Edward J. Shea Natatorium continues to be one of the finest swimming and diving facilities in the country and home to the SIU Salukis for training and competition.
Opened in 1977, the Dr. Edward J. Shea Natatorium is a 25-yard by 50-meter facility. For the MVC Championship/Invitational, the pool will be set up with one 8-lane, all deep-water competition course, one 8-lane warm-up course, and a separate diving area. New starting platforms and non-turbulent lane dividers have recently been purchased for the facility. The diving area includes four 1-meter boards, three 3-meter boards and one 5-meter platform.
Seating for meets include elevated spectator seating for 400 and on-deck bleacher seating for all competitors.
