Saluki Women's Tennis coach Rene Vidal resigns

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University Director of Athletics Mario Moccia announced the resignation of women's tennis coach Rene Vidal on Monday.
In two seasons at SIU, Vidal compiled a 17-25 overall record, including a 4-13 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play.
"I want to thank SIU, Mario, and the entire department for the opportunity to serve as head women's tennis coach," Vidal said. "It was a great experience, and I look forward to pursuing further opportunities in the tennis industry."
Moccia said a search for Vidal's replacement is underway.
