Women's tennis finishes play in ITA Central Regional

East Lansing, Mich. - Fadzai Mawisire qualified for the second round of the ITA Central Regional before falling to Ashley Frey of Toledo and complied a 1-1 doubles record with partner Ame Blacketer.
Mawisire defeated Kelsey Jakupcin of Bowling Green to move to the second round but came up short in round two.
The duo of Ame Blacketer and Fadzai Mawisire also competed in doubles as they went 1-1 dropping a first round match against Depaul's Dunja Antunovic and Kristen Gambrell 8-5. In the qualiftying consolation bracketed, the pair defeated Amy Retch and Sachi Janek of IUPUI-Fort Wayne.
This concludes the Salukis fall season and will return on Feb. 7 when they face off against Chicago State in Chicago.
