Women's swimming and diving earns weekly honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Isabel Madeira and Emily Gable were named the Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer and Diver of the week.

In last Thursday's meet against Missouri State, senior Madeira took first place in the 100 free with a time of 51.96 and swam a 1:52.95 in the 200 free, the third best times in the Valley this season.

Gable won both diving events in the Salukis' meet against Missouri State. Gable scored 237.97 in the 1-meter dive, while recording 263.11 in the 3-meter dive. Gable holds the lone No. 1 spot in the Valley in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives (Champ).

The Salukis will be back in action Saturday as they host Western Kentucky.
