Saluki women's tennis picks up win over Saint Louis

Saint Louis-The Southern Illinois women's tennis team bounced back after two weekend losses with a victory over Saint Louis, 4-3.
The Salukis claimed the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 and with the match tied at 3-3, Vishakha Sheoran pulled off a victory at No. 2 singles to help seal the match.
"We were back on track with our doubles today and played aggressive and dominated the net," Head coach Audra Nothwer said.
Fadzai Mawisire improved on her singles record at SIU to 15-1 and if Mawisire wins two more matches this season, she will move into a tie for 10th place for most singles wins a in a spring season.
The Salukis will return to action this weekend as they host Missouri Valley Conference opponents Creighton on Saturday and No. 72 Wichita State on Sunday.
Both match times are set for 10 a.m. at the University Courts.
