Wolfe earns MAC Swimmer of the Week honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Southern Illinois University swimmer Justin Wolfe was named Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week over the holiday week for his outstanding efforts at the Purdue Invitational.
Wolfe led SIU to a fourth-place finish at Purdue, competing in a field of several nationally-ranked teams. He swam first-place times in the 50 free (20.47) and 100 fly (48.19 - NCAA 'B' Qualifying time), in addition to finishing seventh in the 100 free (46.17). Wolfe was also a member of the second-place 400 free relay team, seventh-place 200 free relay team, the sixth-place 400 medley relay team and the 10th-place 200 medley relay team.
This is the first time in his career Wolfe has been awarded this honor.
Wolfe and the Salukis will next compete as a team Jan. 7 in a tri-meet against Lindenwood and Washington (Mo.) in Saint Louis, Mo.
