MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Southern Illinois women's tennis team was defeated by Morehead State, 4-0, on Saturday.
The score of the match doesn't tell the whole story, according to Saluki head coach Audra Nothwehr, as all but one Saluki player won a set.
"Five out of the six matches that we competed in went to the third set," Nothwehr said. "We just need some more practice to get comfortable and be able to succeed in these situations."
The loss is the Salukis' second of the year to put their record at 0-2. They will look to get their first win of the season on Feb. 12, when they will face Chicago State and UIC in the Windy City.
