Women's Tennis named to 2011 ITA All-Academic Team

CARBONDALE, Ill. - For the second-consecutive year and three out of the last four, the Southern Illinois University women's tennis team was named to the ITA All-Academic Team. In order to be recognized, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Three Saluki women's tennis players were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team: juniors Anita Lee, Anastacia Simons and Melanie Delsart.
According to ITA guidelines, a player must be a varsity letterwinner, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have been enrolled at their school for at least two semesters. Delsart and Simons were also selected to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team in 2010.
