Women's Tennis adds Lauren Hoekstra for 2013-14

CARBONDALE, Ill.- Southern Illinois University women's tennis coach Audra Nothwehr announced today that Lauren Hoekstra will join the team for the 2013-14 season as a walk-on.

Hoekstra, an incoming freshman from Effingham, Ill., where she recorded 109 singles wins at Effingham High School, was a four-time conference champion, two-time sectional champ, and qualified for state four times.

"We are excited to have Lauren join us next year," said Nothwehr. "She has a great deal of passion for tennis and for SIU. We are looking forward to see what Lauren can do for the Salukis in her freshman year."
