CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois senior swimmer Kristin Geppert has been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District 5 At-Large Team.
This marks the second consecutive season Geppert has earned Academic All-District honors.
A native of Norderstedt, Germany, Geppert earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors in both the 100 and 200-meter breastrokes by virtue of finishing the events second and third respectively at the 2012 MVC Championships.
Geppert is a three-time MVC champion with two titles in the 100 breast and one in the 200 breast. She ranks third in SIU history in both events.
A three-time MVC Scholar Athlete, Geppert is an English major with a cumulative 3.972 GPA.
