Men's swimming and diving 5th in coaches' preseason poll

CARBONDALE, ILL. -Â The Mid-American Conference released the men's swimming and diving preseason coaches' poll this morning, and picked Southern Illinois University fifth. The men's team is coming off a fourth place finish at least year's conference finals.
The Dawgs will be behind last year's champion, Eastern Michigan (No. 1), and Buffalo University, Missouri State, and Miami of Ohio. EMU recieved the most first place votes with four, as they look to win the conference title for a consecutive third year in a row. Both, Buffalo and Missiouri State, recieved one first place vote.
SIU will play host for this year's MAC championships. The championships are set for March first through the fourth at Dr. Edward Shea Natatorium inside SIU's recreation center.
