What is your connection to SIU?
I work in the SIU Athletic Department as a Development Assistant and have worked in the position since 2002.
Why do you give to SIU Athletics/SASF?
I have been giving to the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund since 2007. I think it is important for the success of the athletic department to support the scholarship fund, as well as give to the department in any area that you would like to help support.
Tell us about some of the best SIU memories that you have.
The eclipse of 2017 has to be one of my favorite memories. The way the department and the university came together was great. Everyone's hard work and dedication made that a memorable event.
Basketball back in the days of Jamaal Tatum, Randal Falker, Bryan Mullins, and Tony Young are among my favorite memories. I'm looking forward to seeing some more great basketball this year as well!
When I first started in the department, Coach Jerry Kill was the football coach and it was great to see football's success. I've enjoyed having him back in the department as an administrator. He's had such a positive impact on the entire region.
Why should others give to SIU?
I think anyone that has ties to SIU and is able to give to the university should be willing to do so. Our donors and season ticket holders are a special part of what we do. We want them to know that they are very much appreciated. I think everyone in this area wants to see SIU continue to be great.
