Beibei Ji named MVC Diver of the Week

Saluki junior Beibei Ji has been named Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week for her two-win performance against conference rival Missouri State. This is her first time earning the award this season and fifth time in her SIU career.Â
Ji posted top scores in the one-and three-meter dive (290.25, 309.67) against the Bears last Saturday. She was the lone diver to reach the 300 plateau in the three-meter. She outlasted twin sister Baobao Ji (289.42) in the one-meter.Â
Ji has earned five victories in diving events this season. She has swept diving events at two meets. The native of Taiyuan, China holds first place MVC ranks in the one-and three-meter dive.Â
Last season, Ji tallied numerous honors, in what was her first year as a Saluki. Those honors include MVC one-meter dive champion, first team All-MVC, and MVC Scholar Athlete.
