Beibei Ji earns second MVC Diver of the Week honor

Southern diver Beibei Ji has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week for her performances verses Indiana State and Arkansas-Little Rock. This is her second time earning the award this season and sixth time as a Saluki.
Ji recorded three wins on the weekend against the Valley opponents. Against Indiana State, she swept the one- and three-meter diving events with top scores of 303.90 and 323.55. Her three-meter score of 323.55 was a career best, beating out her previous high of 316.05. The junior took her third and final victory of the weekend verses Little Rock in the one-meter with a mark of 303.02. Â
The native of Taiyuan, China holds eight diving victories on the season and has won an event in all four dual meets. Ji also ranks first in the Valley in the one- and three-meter dive.Â
Beibei Ji and the Salukis are back in action this weekend when the team travels to the Terra Haute, Ind. to face-off against Indiana State and Ball State in a tri-meet on Jan. 26 and in Indianapolis, Ind. for the Butler Invite on Jan. 27.
