• SIU tied the school record for blocked shots, set in 1999, with 11 in a 64-45 win over the Sycamores on Dec. 31, 2017.
• The Salukis held the Sycamores to 28.1% shooting in their 54-43 win at Indiana State on March 1, 2018. • It was the lowest shooting percentage for a MVC foe since Jan. 29, 2011.

• Southern outscored Indiana State, 28-10 in the fourth quarter utilizing a nine-person rotation to complete the comeback.
• It was the largest deficit that SIU has overcome in 16 years, as the Salukis also came back from being down 18 points to defeat Tennessee Tech on Nov. 30, 2002.

• The Salukis put four players in double-figures, shooting 65 percent from the field in the first half to overpower defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Indiana State, 86-69, inside SIU Arena.
• With the win, Southern snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Sycamores that dated back to 2000.

• Dana Olsen scored a game-high 21 points to go along with six boards, two assists and a steal while Jasmine Gibson added nine points and 10 rebounds.
Five-game winning streak
• With SIU's win over Evansville on Friday night, Southern has now won five-straight games for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
• With a sixth-straight win on Sunday, the Salukis would match the longest win streak of the Cindy Stein era. Southern has twice won six-straight games under Stein, doing so in back-to-back seasons in 2015 and 2016.
• Should Southern extend its streak to six-straight, Stein will join Saluki Hall of Famers Cindy Scott and Charlotte West as the only coaches in program history to lead their teams to at least three win streaks of six or more games.
• The school record for consecutive wins came during the 1985-86 season, when Southern rattled off 21-straight wins, including a perfect 18-0 slate in Gateway Conference games, en route to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
Conference Openers
• With the win over Evansville, Southern improved to 6-0 in conference openers under Coach Stein.
• SIU's six-straight wins in conference openers are a school record since conference play began in 1982.
• Southern previously won five-straight Gateway Conference openers under Cindy Scott from 1982-87.
• SIU's six conference opening wins under Stein are more wins in conference openers than the Salukis had in the 15 seasons (1998-2013) prior to her arrival.

• Abby Brockmeyer is averaging 13.3 points on 73.3% (11-of-15) shooting to go along with 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks against the Sycamores in three previous meetings. Brockmeyer finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in SIU's 64-45 win over Indiana State on Dec. 31.
• Brockmeyer reached double figures in all three games against the Sycamores last season.
• Nicole Martin is averaging 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in five career meetings against Indiana State.

• Celina VanHyfte tied her career-best with nine rebounds in Southern's 76-64 win over Indiana State on Jan. 29, 2016. It is one of four times in her Saluki career that the Annawan, Ill. native has finished with nine boards.
Six-game home win streak to start a season
• With SIU's win over Evansville on Friday, the Salukis improved to 6-0 at home on the season.
• It marks SIU's first six game home-winning streak to open a season since the 1993-94 season.
• With a win on Sunday, Southern's seven-game home win streak to start a season will be its longest since the 1986-87 season. The Salukis went a perfect 15-0 inside Davies Gym that season.
• Southern has won at least nine home games in four-straight seasons, including 10 during the 2015-16 season.

• Martin notched her fourth career double-double in the win, finished one point shy of tying her career-high and tied her career-best with 12 boards
Taking care of the ball
• Brittney Patrick currently leads the Valley, and ranks 9th nationally, in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.30).
• Patrick's 5.5 assists per game also leads the MVC and ranks 31st nationally while she also leads the league in total assists (66).
• Earlier this season, Patrick became the first Saluki since Cartaesha Macklin in 2013 to record at least five assists in four-straight games. During that streak, Patrick had 29 assists to just four turnovers.
