• Lauren Hartman (12) and Nicole Martin (10) each snagged double-digit rebounds in the win over Bradley on Friday, which marked the first time since Nov. 17, 2016 vs. Murray State that Southern has had two players with 10-plus boards.Â

Getting closer
• Nicole Martin scored in double figures in back-to-back games this past weekend to inch closer to becoming the seventh-active Missouri Valley Conference player to join the 1,000 career points club.Â

• Makenzie Silvey scored 14 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting against Illinois State, including 4-of-6 from downtown.
• It marked the 20th time this season that she has reached double figures.
• Her four three-pointers moved her past Molly McDowell (1999-03) for 8th on SIU's all-time list and needs just three treys to pass Jordyn Courier (2011-14) for seventh in school history. She also surpassed 650 career points in the loss to the Redbirds.
• Silvey's 55 three-pointers this season are the fourth-most in a season by a sophomore in program history. The Glen Carbon, Ill. native needs six threes to move past Rishonda Napier and Kylie Giebelhausen for second. Teri Oliver holds the school record for threes by a sophomore with 71, set during the 2011 season.
• Silvey is approaching the top-10 in several additional categories for sophomore seasons- she's 25 points from cracking the top-10 in points by a sophomore and needs three steals to move into the top-10 for most takeaways by a second-year.Â
• She currently ranks fourth in the league in three-pointer made per game (2.33/game).

• Brockmeyer is two points shy of 550 for her career and seven boards shy of 400.Â
Â
Running the Point
• Brittney Patrick currently leads the Valley in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.13).Â
• Patrick's 4.9 assists per game also leads the MVC while she also leads the league in total assists (113).Â
• SIU has only once had a player lead the league in assists per game (Cartaesha Macklin, 2013) and Patrick's 2.13 assist-to-turnover ratio would be a school record.
• In fact, only 13 players from the Valley have finished with a 2.0 or higher assist-to-turnover ratio since the 2002-03 season.
Disrupting Passing Lanes
• Southern has notched 10-plus steals in nine games this season, including a season-high 12 at Drake on Feb. 3.
• The Salukis recorded 10-plus steals in 10 games during the 2018 season, which were the most in a season during head coach Cindy Stein's six seasons at the helm of the Salukis.Â
• Earlier this season, SIU's five-game streak of 10-plus steals was its longest since the 1994-95 team posted six-straight games with 10 or more takeaways. The 1994-95 Salukis set a school record for most games, 20, with at least 10 steals.
