Jess Peck earns MVC Good Neighbor Award

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Southern Illinois senior swimmer Jess Peck has been named a State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award recipient for the 2018-19 winter season by conference commissioner Doug Elgin.

Peck was one of the 10 student-athletes in the Missouri Valley Conference selected to receive the award. In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must be in good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship through quality sportsmanship and significant community service.

Peck has earned dean's list every semester at SIU and has volunteered at the Special Olympics, VA hospital, local elementary schools, the Boys and Girls Club, and the animal shelter.

The Information Systems Technology and Languages major maintained a 3.963 GPA in the fall semester. At the 2019 MVC Swimming and Diving Championships, Peck was named an MVC Scholar-Athlete for the third time in her Saluki career.
