Saluki Athletics hosting Southern Illinois Appreciation Week, March 31-April 6

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Saluki Athletics is hosting its fourth-annual 'Southern Illinois Appreciation Week' by thanking its fans with special events on campus and throughout the community from Sunday through Saturday (March 31-April 6). Coaches, student-athletes and administrators will visit local businesses to help serve patrons and give away prizes each day next week.
"Southern Illinois Appreciation Week is an opportunity for Saluki Athletics to say thank you," said Associate Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer Jason Fairfield. "This is a weeklong effort for us to show gratitude to our dedicated fans and supporters."
The Salukis will make appearances at Culvers (Marion), Quatro's, Fat Bottom Betty's, Kroger and McAlister's Deli, beginning Monday.
The week includes free admission to Friday's and Saturday's baseball games against Missouri State and Saturday's softball doubleheader against Evansville at 12 p.m. The week culminates with football's annual Spring Game at Saluki Stadium at noon on Saturday and also features the SASF Bags tournament at 10:00 a.m. and Saluki Spring Tailgate starting at 8:00 a.m.
