Salukis in 7th after Day One at Jan Weaver Invitational

The Southern Illinois Women's Golf team, finished day one of the Jan Weaver Invitational in seventh place. The Salukis (+35) carded 304 in the first round, 307 in the second round and currently trail conference rival Bradley (+32) by three-strokes.Â
Moyea Russell (+5) leads the Salukis and is currently tied for 11th overall. Rosemarie Bundy (+7) is playing as an individual and carded 74 and 77 in the opening round. Jackie Biggs (+9) is tied for 26th overall with a day one total of 153. Emilyee McGiles (+10) shot 77 in both rounds and is tied for 33rd. Erica Kerr (+11) is tied for 38th and carded 78 in the first round and 77 in the second round. Tied for 52nd overall, Lili Klekner-Alt shot 79 and 78 to put her 13 strokes back. Sun Jung (+16) is playing as an individual and is currently tied for 66th.
The Salukis tee off for the final round on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Miller Memorial Golf Course. Weather is forecast to be sunny with highs in the 70s.Â
