The Southern Illinois men's golf team returns to action on Monday at the 2021 TVA Community Credit Union Invitational, hosted by North Alabama, to close out the fall schedule. The 11-team field is set to tee off at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club, a par-72 course that reaches 7,133 yards. One of the top-rated golf courses in the state of Alabama, Turtle Point features natural topography and a challenging layout.Â
The Salukis lineup will consist of MVC Golfer of the Week Matthis Besard, freshman Braden Hoisington, graduate Birgir Magnusson, sophomore Justin Wingerter, and senior Markus Wilhelmsen. Junior Andrew Thornton and senior Tom Cleaton will compete as individuals.
The Salukis will tee off for a shotgun start on Monday, October 18th at 8:00am CT and play 36-holes. The weather forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 72. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat. The final round will be played Tuesday, October 19th with a shotgun start at 8:00am CT.Â
