Women's Basketball Prepares for Road Tilt at Kansas City

KANSAS CITY - The Southern Illinois Salukis women's basketball team will play its second game of the season on Sunday against the Kansas City Roos. Tip-off is schedule for 12 p.m. at the Swinney Rec Center on the campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Sunday's Game

All-Time vs. Kansas City
• The Salukis and the Roos meet for the 3rd time ever Wednesday.
• Southern Illinois leads the all-time series 2-0.
• The first meeting between the two schools was on Dec. 19, 2016 in Kansas City. The Salukis took the victory, 77-69.
• The second meeting came nearly exactly 4 years later on Dec. 17, 2020. That matchup saw the Salukis victorious, 79-68.
• The 2020 game saw both current 1,000 point scorers for SIU, Makenzie Silvey and Abby Brockmeyer, score over 20 points. Silvey had 24, while Brockmeyer had 23. That game also saw Quierra Love and Gabby Walker each score 10 points.
