The Southern Illinois women's golf team travels to San Antonio, Texas for the Islander Classic, hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Salukis lineup will be fifth year Moyea Russell, fifth year Rosemarie Bundy, freshman Kylee Vaughan, junior Secilia Ho, and freshman Morgan Gindler. Junior Ayanna Habeel will compete as an individual.
The 18-team field will tee off at the Alamo City Golf Trail, Brackenridge Park Golf Course, the oldest public course in the state of Texas. Built in 1916, the course is the heart of the Alamo City Golf Trail featuring majestic oaks that line the narrow fairways and a river that flows through.
SIU will tee off for the first round of 36-holes on Monday at 8:15am CT. The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 88. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat. The final round tees off with a shotgun start at 8:15am CT on Tuesday.
