Women’s Golf Finish 13th at Bay Point Classic

In their first action of the 2021-22 spring season the Southern Illinois women's golf team placed 13th at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic with a total score of 1026 (+153). USC Upstate took first place with a score of 916 (+52) and Jacksonville State finished in runner-up at 922 (+58).
SIU improved upon each round, carding 331 in Tuesday's last day of play. Senior Rosemarie Bundy fired a team-best 79 in the final round with three birdies on the day to finish tied for 62nd with freshman Kylee Vaughan for a total of 254 (+38). Sophomore Janie Samattiyadeekul tied for 69th with a score of 256 (+40) and Waew Anurvan carded 257 (+41) to tie for 72nd overall. Senior Moyea Russell shot 265 (+49) to round out the Salukis score. Senior Ryleigh Vaughn competed as an individual and finished in 87th place at 307 (+91).

The Salukis travel Corpus Christi, Texas for the Islander Classic, hosted by Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, on February 21-22.
