
Men's Golf finishes 12th at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Southern Illinois men's golf team finished 12th out of 15 teams at the Seminole Intercollegiate, hosted by Florida State on Monday and Tuesday. The host Seminoles won the tournament at 14-under par.
Round two was Southern's best round of 18 holes, as the team combined to shoot 297 — the fifth-best mark among the 15 squads.
The second round began on Monday, was cut short due to darkness, and was completed this morning. By mid-morning, the Salukis had moved as high as seventh place.
Braden Hoisington led SIU in scoring at 9-over par through 72 holes. He finished tied for 22nd place, 18 strokes behind tournament champion Gray Albright of Florida State.
