SIU Wraps Up Opening Tournament of 2023

RIVERSIDE, IA. – Southern Illinois finished its first tournament of the 2023 calendar year on Wednesday afternoon, with its first team finishing seventh with a team score of 880 (+16), while the Southern Illinois B team finished 9th with a team score of 885 (+21).
What a strong start to the season for Sophomore Edouard Cereto, his first season in Carbondale, shot a 208 (-8) for the Tournament, only four shots out of the top spot (-12). He ended with a round of 68, which was his second best mark of the tournament behind his opening round of 67.
Hugo Archer, Andrew Watson and Carsen Silliman finished in the top 20 on the individual leader board.
SIU will next be in action at the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday September 17th and Monday September 18th.
