
Preview | Saluki Track and Field ready to compete in Boston for weekend meet

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois track and field travels to Boston, Mass. as it competes in the John Thomas Terrier Classic Friday and Saturday.
Men's competitions will begin Friday at 10 a.m. while the women's competitions take place Saturday at 11 a.m.
IMPRESSING IN THE HOOSIER STATE
Jadon Robertson, who stars in both track and field events, started off the weekend by leaping a season-best in the long jump.
The 200-meter runs were the highlight of day one. On the women's side, Iaunia Pointer took home first place while Keyann Wilson broke a personal record and placed eleventh. Jeremiah Hamilton (third) and Christian Donatelli (fifth) helped the Salukis take two of the top five spots on the men's side.Â
Southern Illinois kept the momentum going in day two's events. Darius Fuller and Caleb Carter combined to finish first and second in the men's triple jump.
After placing three of the eight finalists in the men's 60-meter hurdles, Jadon Robertson won the men's 60-meter finals.
Shane Ashton led the pack in the men's 400-meter dash, taking home his first first-place finish of the indoor season.
