LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Southern Illinois Men's Golf finished the Everett Buick GMC Classic Invitational Tuesday, finishing 14th out of 16 teams. They finished with a score of 893 (+29), 45 strokes behind the tournament champion Little Rock.
Head coach Justin Fetcho shared his thoughts on the team's performance.
"We had another tough week, mentally we are not at the level that we need to be at," Fetcho said. "It starts at the top with me, I have to ramp up practices to get the guys in a better spot."
Anthony De Schutter leads the Salukis tying for 41st with a score of 223 (+7). After a strong round-one score of 70 (-2), he fell behind in round two with a score of 80 (+8). De Schutter was able to overcome the bump in the road and finished the tournament with a round three score of 73 (+1)
Here's how the rest of the Salukis finished at the Badger Invitational:
"We are making too many unforced errors, trying to press too much, and losing confidence quickly," Fetcho said. "We have a couple of weeks to work on it before we head to our next event."

The Salukis will head to its final tournament of the fall season in the Aloha State when they take on the Ka'anapali Classic in Lahaina, Hawaii, on Saturday, November 2.
