Preview | Salukis head to MVC rival Murray State for weekend meet

CARBONDALE, Ill. -Â The Southern Illinois track and field team will take a short trip to Murray State to compete at the Margaret Simmons Invite Friday and Saturday.
Field events will begin at noon Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Running events begin at 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
Many Saluki freshmen will get another taste at an outdoor meet after many had promising performances at the USF Bulls Alumni Invitational.
11 different Salukis are looking to string together back-to-back good weeks after compiling personal and season bests.
Graduate senior Rachel Anderson brought home her third win of the season after finishing first in the 2000-meter steeplechase last Saturday.
Fellow distance runner Dawson Smith finished third in the men's 2000-meter steeplechase.
Sprinters Jeremiah Hamilton, Keyann, Wilson, Shavell Riley and Xavier Preston all broke personal records to go along with top-ten finishes. The men's 4x400 team finished third.
