DEBARY, Fla. - Janie Samattiyadeekul continued her strong play in the Babs Steffens Invitational shooting a score of 233 (+17), tying for 17th out of 53 golfers. Samattiyadeekul's best round came on day one when she shot a 74 (+2), tied for the best score in round one.
As a team, the Salukis finished in ninth with a score of 967 (+103), finishing 53 strokes behind tournament champion Stetson University.
Head coach Cindy Bodmer shared her thoughts after an underwhelming tournament.
"Disappointing finish for us," Head Coach Cindy Bodmer said. "A great course setup which showed our weaknesses as a team".
Other individual scores:
Kylee Vaughan saw her best score in round two shooting 77 (+5).

"We will work hard over the next two weeks," Bodmer said. "The Brickyard is one of the toughest courses we will play all year."
UP NEXT
Southern Illinois will head to Macon, Ga. to compete at the Brickyard Collegiate starting Monday, April 8.
