MACON, Ga. - Southern Illinois women's golf finished ninth at the Brickyard Collegiate Tuesday, April 9, in Macon, Ga.
The Salukis finished in ninth with a score of 967 (+103) as a team, finishing 67 strokes behind tournament champion Mercer.
Head Coach Cindy Bodmer is proud of her young team's effort.Â
"We have started 4 freshmen this season and all have been vital to rebuilding this program," she said.
Janie Samattiyadeekul shot a season-low round of 70, which vaulted her up to 21st after starting the day in 37th.
Other individual scores:
Calli Smith tied her season-low round of 76 in the third round.
Bodmer shared her thoughts about the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference Championships.
"We have nothing to lose and everything to shoot for in a conference championship," Bodmer said.
