CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois track and field continues its outdoor season Friday, April 19, sending athletes to Baylor and Indiana State.
The full team will be in action for the first time since senior day on April 6.
The team will send its top sprinters to Baylor, while the throws, jumps, hurdles and distance runners will compete at Indiana State.
Both parties will begin Friday, throwing events at Indiana State starting at 11 a.m. ET, and the Saluki sprinters at 5:45 p.m. at Baylor.
Four Saluki individuals/squads etched their names into the record books during the full team's off week.
Two distance runners competed in the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific, while two men's relay groups ran at the Tom Jones Invitational in Florida.
Rachel Anderson ran a personal record 10:00.70 in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase, third in school history.
Ethan Senti's time of 14:01.29 in the men's 5000-meter run is sixth in school history and is one of the two times he owns in the top 10.
The men's 4x100 (40.17) and 4x400 (3:08.25) relay squads ran times that put them third and fifth in Saluki history on April 13 at Florida.
