Preview | Track and Field ready for final regular season weekend

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois track and field wraps up its regular season Friday and Saturday when it sends athletes to the Penn Relays and Music City Challenge.
The Salukis will send a team of sprinters to Penn, and the rest of the team will partake in the outdoor Music City Challenge.
Both parties will begin Friday, with college competition at the Penn Relays beginning at 11:30 a.m., and throwing events at Vanderbilt starting at 12 p.m.
The Salukis put together many positive performances last week, none bigger than freshman Josh Allison's performance at the Gibson Invitational. Allison placed first with a time of 9:05.80 in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase and was named MVC Male Track Athlete of the Week Thursday.
