CARBONDALE, Ill. — The 108th season of Saluki Football is officially underway, as the team held its first practice of training camp on Wednesday afternoon at Saluki Stadium.
The Salukis open the 2024 campaign at BYU on Aug. 31 and play their home opener versus Incarnate Word on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.
Single-game tickets for all six home dates go on-sale at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Season tickets are still available, starting at $70.
The Incarnate Word game is Faith & Family Night at SIU, with a special Promo Code ("FAITH") allowing fans to purchase advance tickets for $10. Groups of 10 or more can have their faith-based organization recognized on the video board during the game.
The football team will hold its 13th annual Fanfest event at Saluki Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Fanfest takes place on the field and is a free event in which Saluki football players, plus cheerleaders, shakers, mascots and live Saluki dogs are on hand to greet fans and host a variety of fun activities for the whole family.
The event also kicks off the annual membership drive for Brown Dawg's Kids Club, with free t-shirts available for the first 300 children.
