Recap | Salukis finish season opener strong at SEMO

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – The Salukis Cross Country teams raced to the finish line in the season opener at the SEMO RedHawks XC invite Friday. The women's team scored 45 points, finishing in second place. The men's team scored 77 points and came in third place.
The women had a strong showing with three top 10 finishes. Hannah Eastman in her Saluki debut leads the way with a second-place finish with a time of 18:04.50, trailing the leader by 14 seconds. Brianna Nieset and Hannah Meiser were not far behind, placing fifth and eighth respectively.
The men team followed suit with two top 10 finishes, lead by Uriah Guthrie, who finished fourth with a time of 15:46.749. Freshman Will Foltz in his Saluki debut finished seventh, with a time of 15:52.245.

The Salukis will compete next at the Bradley Intercollegiate on Sept. 20 in Peoria, Ill.
