CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Salukis' cross country teams competed to the very end at the Bradley Intercollegiate, with each team racing to fourth-place finishes. The women's team finished with 109 points; the men finished with 136 points.
"I was proud of the entire squad for having the patience, and emotional security to execute the plan in a competitive race environment", Ramos said. "There was a lot to be enthused about in how they competed in the warm September weather, as a squad we will continue to plant seeds towards growth that we will harvest and draw upon in November".
Weston Jokerst was the men's top performer, finishing with a time of 26:49.80 in the 8K race. Uriah Guthrie and Ben Chance were right behind him finishing with times of 26:52.20, and 26:52.50. They held the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th spots at the finish.
Hannah Meiser was the women's top performer, finishing with a time of 18:34.00 in the three-mile race. Audrey Boles was not far behind with a time of 18:35.00. They finished in 23rd and 24th place.
