CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University men and women's cross-country programs will compete at the Mizzou Gans Creek Classic on Friday, Sept. 27, at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo. The men's 8K race will occur at 8:00 a.m. and the women will compete in a 6K race at 8:45 a.m.

Roster Makeup
The men's team consists of five runners:
                Freshmen: Ben Chance, Will Foltz
                Junior: Westen Jokerst
                Graduate Student: Uriah Guthrie

The women's team consists of eight runners:
                Freshmen: Kyla Engel, Rae Kawalec, Riley Linville and Ally Niedfeldt
                Sophomore: Brodie Denny and Hannah Meiser
                Junior: Audrey Boles
                Senior: Brianna Nieset

The Salukis will head to Columbia off of a short week, competing at the Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday, Sept. 20. The Saluki runners raced to two fourth-place finishes, and strong individual performances on both sides. The women ran three miles with Hannah Meiser and Audrey Boles being separated by one second taking the 23^rd and 24^th spots with times of 18:34.00, and 18:35.00. The men competed in an 8K race seeing Weston Jokerst as the Salukis' top performer, finishing 22^nd with a time of 26:49.80.
