ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Pre-Championship Poll for the Missouri Valley Conference Swim and Dive Women's Championship has been released and the Salukis were picked to finish first at this week's meet.
Southern earned 75 total points in the poll along with four first-place votes. Indiana State trails the Salukis by just three points and one first-place vote. Missouri State is the only other squad to earn first-place love, earning two votes in that department while gaining 69 total points.
Little Rock and UNI sit in fourth and fifth with 45 and 43 points, respectively. UIC also received 40+ points to earn sixth place. Illinois State, Evansville, and Valparaiso round out the bottom three spots with 33, 18, and 10 points in that order.
The Women's MVC Championships begin on Wednesday in Waukee, Iowa. Events on Wednesday begin at 6 p.m.
