FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Friday night at the Women's NCAA Championships, Southern Illinois swimmer Celia Pulido was named a First Team All-American in the 100-yard backstroke.Â
In the finals for the event, Pulido came in fourth place thanks to her time of 49.77, which was a new program and Missouri Valley Conference record.Â
Pulido will be back in action at the Championships today when she competes in the 200-yard backstroke event. Prelims are set for 10 a.m. PST and if she makes the finals, those will commence at 6:03 a.m. PST.Â
