ST. JOHN'S, Fla. -Â Southern Illinois Women's Golf wrapped the Coach Mo Classic Tuesday in St. John's, Fla. The Salukis finished 16th, 78 strokes behind tournament champion Purdue.
Pihla Pennanen and Kayla Sayyalinh led the way once again, each shooting all three rounds under 80.Â
Head Coach Rory Weinfurther knows these tournaments present challenges, and believes this experience will only help the team moving forward.
"We have played in awesome tournaments and fields this spring which makes it tough but we have put up some good scores so they know that it is possible to compete as a team and individually for some," she said. "The tournaments we've played in are preparing us to be mentally tough not to give up and also really learn how to play a tough course as best as we can."

The Salukis will head to the UMD Terp Invitational in College Park, Mary., for their final tournament of the 2024-25 regular season. Action begins Sunday, April 6.
