First-year Saluki QB Brian Downey set the school record for pass completion percentage in a game (minimum of 20 attempts), converting 86.5 percent of his passes (19 of 22) for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Downey had a hand in 24 of SIU's season-high 45 points in this game, as he also caught a touchdown pass thrown by running back Greg Brown.
