Jesse is a PGA Master Professional and a member of the Gateway PGA Sections Hall of Fame. He has won the Horton Smith Award in the Gateway PGA Section five times. This annual award is given to recognize contributions made in the education of fellow PGA Professionals.Â

Jesse served his PGA apprenticeship under PGA of America Hall of Fame member E. J. "Dutch" Harrison at Forest Hill Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. He served as the Head Golf Professional at Jackson Country Club in Murphysboro. Il for 30 years. He then moved to Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion and served as the Head Golf Professional for 11 years.

Jesse has been a member of the PGA of America Rules of Golf Committee since 1997. He has been an instructor at 17 PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops. He has been a referee at 20 PGA Championships, 2 Ryder Cups, 2 Senior PGA Championships, 2 KPMG PGA Women's Championships, 2 Masters, and the BMW/PGA Championship on the European Tour. He has been the head official at 3 NCAA Division I Regionals and officiated at 3 NCAA National Championships.

Jesse also coached the men's and women's golf teams at Murphysboro High School for 4 years.

Jesse has been married to his wife Cindy for 40 years. His son Jesse played golf at Murphysboro High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He has two grandchildren, Jesse and Josephine.
