Pallmann is in his second year as the SIU swimming and diving team's graduate assistant coach and brings a wealth of experience and accolades to the team.

Pallmann swam with the Salukis from 2012 to 2016 and won the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Year in 2014-15 and holds the MAC record in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:18.16. He is a four-time conference champion in the 500-yard freestyle and a two-time champion in the 200-yard freestyle. He was also on the teams that won the 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay at the MAC Conference Championship. Pallmann made the MAC All-Conference First Team in all four of his years at SIU.

He is a school record holder in the 50, 100, and 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. He shares the program record in the 500-yard freestyle. Pallmann was on teams that set program records in the 400-yard freestyle relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard medley relay.

Pallmann was born in Zweibrucken, Germany and is a 2016 graduate of SIU.
